Leaving the angst of youth behind...

From “Lost and Found” by Jacqueline Sheehan, HarperCollins 2007.

I love this passage about 65 year old woman observing a suspicious 30-something man. She engaged him in face-to-face conversation to judge his mental state.

“She knew her small size and her age kept him from being alarmed.  Age especially gave her a stealth covering; he would neither feel compelled to strut as he would if she were a younger woman, or engage in territorial battle, if she were a man. Who knew that getting older was going to be this much fun?”

Age pwns youth one more time!
