Holiday Reading, Shopping and rain...

Even with doing major holiday shopping online, I still had to venture out into the wet drippy world to buy a few items. One discount store looked like a war zone after the troups had left. The merchandise was strewn around and broken pieces crunched under the wheels of my shopping cart. And it isn't even the week before Christmas! I may plan to wear body armor if I need to shop during that week!

I have been reading the Slash Advent Calendar for 2005 (sponsored by Lady Kardasi's Domain) with great enjoyment.

Remember these are SLASH (m/f, f/f) stories and you must have the password to access. If you want access, you need to join the kardasi-security mailinglist on Yahoo Groups. Or send a message to: password -at- kardasi.com

Thank you to all the authors for their efforts to entertain us during the holidays. The high quality of writing and creativity in some of the stories just blows me away! Today (Dec. 4) was a particularly good day!

Glad you are having a chipper day, babe! What is your favorite story so far?

I'm partial to anything by Farfalla - K/S and D/A are both favorite pairings of mine. K/S was my fandom from the days of watching the original Star Trek in 1969. At age 12 I surely didn't understand it, but could "feel" the slashiness from the beginning!

Ley Lines by Joolz impressed me with the research on the location of the story - and this is a Snarry story with grownup Harry and vulnerable yet snarky Snape. I definitely like the characters to be smart, regardless of fandom.

Some of the fandoms on the Advent Calendar aren't very familiar, and I'm trying to resist getting into any more. I'm looking forward to some TS in the Calendar eventually!

I was trying to find out if you have watched "Spplat Attack" DVD with William Shatner? If not, I have a copy still in the wrapper that I'd LOVE to send (for free) to someone that would appreciate it - or at least laugh with love...

Here's the AMAZON.COM listing for it:

It is probably good for some screen caps, but I don't have the advanced video setup for that. Let me know if you'd like it - or if you know someone that would.
